ÌÒÑÕÃÛÉ«

Music

The ÌÒÑÕÃÛÉ« music program offers all ÌÒÑÕÃÛÉ«boys the opportunity to enrich their lives through the pursuit of music education by fostering and developing a lifelong enjoyment and appreciation of music performance, creation, and listening.

Our goal is to develop and teach a music curriculum in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Education. We strive to teach knowledge and skills in vocal, instrumental, and digital music performance and production at the Elementary, Middle, and Senior School levels.

The instrumental music program at Selwyn House is based on the jazz band model from Grades 5 through 11. The program develops student confidence and creativity in music performance, as well as skills in musical improvisation. Also, there are many opportunities each year for students to showcase their musical skills and achievements to the ÌÒÑÕÃÛÉ«community and to the general public with a variety of concerts, band trips, and school events.
